How to think & plan for Power BI in Hybrid Environment?
Hi, Good Saturday to you all π
Power BI is growing leaps and bounds. Itβs becoming more and more advanced and rich in its each release every month. BI folks loved the product since its release. But I still see that many architects/organizations still face challenges in uncovering true values of Power BI usage merely due to their unique organizational/architectural challenges.
I came across a while paper this morning which shows best practices for security, networking, and component architecture for building a hybrid business intelligence (BI) environment by using a combination of Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Azure, and on-premises data sources. Many organizations are taking advantage of the benefits of cloud computing such as lower capital expenditures and increased agility, while still maintaining data in on-premises data stores. Its written by Joseph D’Antoni, Stacia Misner and released in Aug 2014. Little old but still valuable as it talks about architectural solutions rather than product features.
Have a look at this white paper and say thanks to them π Itβs available for download here.
Provide your feedback and comments below if you still have any special challenges for Power BI.
Enjoy your weekend, Khilit
